Departments of transportation expect slick spots on MO, KS roads Tuesday morning

Trooper Ben from the Kansas Highway Patrol is urging drivers not to get complacent as they head to work Tuesday morning. He warned roads and highways can refreeze as the temperatures dipped into the low 20s overnight. At those temperatures, the treatment municipalities spread on the road to melt ice is not effective. There is nothing they can do to prevent icing when air and surface temps get into low 20s. The trooper recommended drivers respect the road, driving according to the conditions.
