Roaming Halls 🎶 | Buster's Story: Part 1 - Too Smooth for the Truth

The hallway echoed with lockers slamming and laughter bouncing off the walls. Right in the middle of it all was Buster—the smooth-talking fox with a fresh cut, a cocky smirk, and a story for everything. No one could tell a tale like he could. And whether or not it was true? Well… that never really mattered to him.

He had a way of making people laugh even when they didn’t want to. Teachers rolled their eyes, friends shook their heads, and girls? They either swooned—or stormed off after catching him in one too many lies.

To most, Buster seemed untouchable. Confidence dripping off him like cologne. Jokes always locked and loaded. But beneath all that swagger? A deep hunger to be seen. To be loved—not just liked.

He didn’t know how to just be. So he performed. He entertained. He exaggerated. And when things got real? He cracked jokes like armor, scared to let anyone see the parts of him he couldn’t laugh off.

People say the fox is clever, and Buster? He played the part too well. But lately, the laughs don’t hit like they used to. The smirks feel forced. And even he’s starting to wonder—

If I’m always lying… do they even like the real me?
