President Nayib Bukele, met with President Donald J. Trump at the White House

An iconic meeting took place in Washington. The President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, met with his counterpart, Donald J. Trump. However, it was not without controversy, as there are accusations of human rights abuses in the Sekot prison, where President Donald J. Trump is sending many deportees, especially from cartels in Venezuela.

However, what is not being said is that as U.S. influence in El Salvador grows, China’s influence declines. The communist regime is even committing genocide and using slave labor against an ethnic religious minority: the Uyghurs.

In other words, abuses would be decreasing, not increasing, but that part isn't mentioned.

On April 14, 2025, the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, made an official visit to the White House, where he was received by the president of the United States, Donald Trump. During the meeting, both leaders strengthened their alliance on migration and security issues, highlighting the cooperation in the deportation of alleged gang members from the United States to El Salvador.

Bukele defended his security policy, stating that “we liberated millions” by imprisoning thousands of criminals, and emphasized that El Salvador has become the safest country on the continent. Trump, for his part, praised Bukele’s willingness to accept deportees, including more than 250 individuals accused of terrorism.

However, the meeting was not without controversy. The deportation of Kilmar Abrego García, a Salvadoran who was deported from the United States, has sparked criticism and tensions between the Trump administration and groups defending criminals. Bukele confirmed that Abrego García is a member of the terrorist gang MS-13, and he had already been identified as such by a U.S. court, which also attributed additional crimes to him.

During his visit, Bukele signed the White House Guest Book, a symbolic gesture that reflects the consolidation of the relationship between both leaders.
