Bezos’ Blue Origin Flight Insult to Real Women Astronauts Remembering Christa McAuliffe

News flash. Women in space is not a shocker. Along with men there are plenty of hard working astronauts who are women. And like any job especially one so daunting don’t you think skill and merit should win out over all. Well this story is about six brave astronauts, oops I mean passengers who went into space for ten minutes and supposedly changed the world. Lauren Sanchez (Jeff Bezos’ bride to be) and Katy Perry were among the group of celebrities who took a short trip on Bezos’ awkwardly shaped space craft. “Putting the ass in astronaut” Katy Perry’s words not mine. Saying it’s empowering for them to break this new ground. Considering shes a household name worth a billion bucks herself I’m not sure how much more empowerment she needs. I think back to true a true hero like Christa McAliffe whose story was both inspiring and tragic. Join me as we discuss the cringe fest that encompassed the Blue Origin flight for the stars, I mean to the stars.
