Posted • April 15, 2025: Baby, you're a firework. Come on, let your colors burst. That was probably not the song Katy Perry was singing as the rocket she was strapped into took off on Monday. Perry was one of six women in the first all-female Blue Origin crew. Also along for the roughly eight-minute round trip flight were Gayle King (journalist), Lauren Sanchez (philanthropist), Aisha Bowe (rocket scientist), Amanda Nguyen (scientist), and Kerianne Flynn (film producer). As you can see it was a very diverse group of women with varied backgrounds in science and media. Check out the lift-off! 🔁 NS-31 liftoff! Here is the group having a hair-raising experience on the edge of space. Footage of Katy Perry, Gayle King, Lauren Sánchez, Amanda Nguyen, Aisha Bowe and Kerianne Flynn in Space. 👀 Perry says the experience had a powerful spiritual energy. Katy Perry says her short trip to space made her "connected to that strong divine feminine," praises her team's rigorous "training."

Wow! Perry said she felt love when she came down. "You're like really finding the love for yourself because you gotta trust in yourself on this journey, and then you're feeling the love when you come down for sure, and you're feeling that strength." —— Of course, X users saw some humor in the spacey spectacle. Perry’s not who you’d normally draft for a flight. —— What part of the spacecraft did she actually control again? Was it the seat adjustment for comfort? —— I hear she was in control of the AC. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gog4q8QXQAA5eOe?format=png&name=900x900 — Thank God it wasn't the radio. — While Perry was going on about all the feminine energy commenters couldn’t help but notice the phallic shape of the metallic rocket. Posters have their minds in the gutter instead of their heads in the stars. —— That's an odd shape to connect her to the feminine. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gog5bDNWwAAgIIX?format=jpg&name=900x900 —— https://x.com/tonyjustice80/status/1911842796840821186

Girl u was gone for 5 seconds 😭😭 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gog67dtXEAAa0gH?format=jpg&name=large —— Collin, is there any chance we could send her back to space and leave her there? Many people are asking… Again, the trip only lasted about eight minutes. Some posters are not Katy Perry fans and hope for a much longer (and never-ending) journey next time. If that happens, maybe we can coax Rosie O’Donnell back from Ireland for that one.
