Lord's Prayer Matthew 6:6-13

When you pray, go into a quiet room by yourself. Close the door and talk to your father in private. He sees what you do in secret and will reward you.

And when you pray, don’t just repeat empty words over and over like some people do. They think they'll be heard because they say a lot. Don’t be like them. Your Father already knows what you need before you even ask.

So when you pray, pray like this following example:

Our Father in heaven,

You are holy, good, and full of love.
May everyone honor You and treat Your name with the respect You deserve.

Let Your kingdom come,
Let Your will and plans be done here on earth, just as they are perfectly carried out in heaven.
Bring more of Your peace, justice, and love into our world.

Give us today what we need,
Provide us with food, strength, and the daily things we rely on.
Help us trust You to take care of us day by day.

Forgive us for the wrong things we’ve done,
Just as we forgive those who have hurt or wronged us.
Give us hearts that are quick to show grace and mercy, as You have shown to us.

Don’t let us fall into temptation,
But guide us away from paths that lead to sin.
Protect us from evil and from anything that would pull us away from You.

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory belong to You forever.
