Registration and Qualification:

Registration for the 2025 Boston Marathon took place from September 9 to September 13, 2024. Due to a significant increase in applications, the qualifying standards were notably stringent. Applicants needed to surpass their age and gender-specific qualifying times by at least 6 minutes and 51 seconds to secure entry. Out of 36,393 applications, 24,069 qualified runners were accepted, leaving approximately 12,000 qualifiers without entry due to capacity constraints.

Elite Competitors:

The 2025 race will feature top athletes, including Kenyan runner Hellen Obiri, aiming for her third consecutive Boston Marathon victory.
