A DC flyback high voltage circuit is a type of power supply that generates high-voltage direct current (DC) using the flyback transformer principle, commonly found in older CRT displays and modern high-voltage applications like ionizers or electrostatic devices. It works by rapidly switching current through a transformer’s primary coil, storing energy in the magnetic field, then releasing it as a high-voltage pulse through the secondary coil when the switch is turned off. This design allows for efficient voltage multiplication and isolation, producing output voltages that can reach tens of kilovolts from a relatively low-voltage DC source.
