A report by MPs has claimed there is no evidence of “two-tier policing” in the handling of the Southport riots last summer.

The Home Affairs Committee published a new report on Monday on the police response to the disorder that broke out after the murder of three girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport on July 29 last year.

Former police officer Harry Miller says the report is “complete and utter nonsense”. He tells Julia Hartley-Brewer: “We can see it with our own eyes!”
