Friendship with Balena Etcher is over, DD is my new best friend

Balena Etcher is another piece of software that has gone spyware. With recent-ish reports of it phoning home with file name it is being used to write to USB sticks with, it can be pretty invasive, and that is just a start right now. Data and tracking is trying to creap into everything we do.
