Slaking is a Normal type Pokemon that was released in Generation 3. Slaking is a famous Pokemon amongst competitive Pokemon players as it is notorious for its impressive stat line. Slaking is also famous amongst competitive Pokemon players for its unimpressive ability. This has made Slaking a very polarizing figure in competitive Pokemon as people are torn about whether Slaking is good or bad. This video will help alleviate some of that confusion.

Slaking is designed to be the premier doubles Pokemon. Given a partner beside it, Slaking can thrive in that it doesn't have to do all the heavy lifting itself. This allows Slaking to do what it is designed it do, which is shrug attacks and deliver a devastating counter attack with its wide move pool and high base power STAB moves. Slaking can then stay on the board safely with the threats against it neutralized or switch safely into a Pokemon that can handle its shortcomings.
