Is living in service of how you are perceived online a good idea?

It's the same problem like in the past at the beginning of the 20th century and it's also the same problem at the beginning of the 21st century. A lot changed when transitioning from the 19th century to the 20th century, same thing from the end of the 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century. The offspring born between 1898 and 1904 had issues with depression, anxiety, uncharted mental disorders, developmental disorders etc etc. What was relevant at that time was to give said offspring a fix all drug you could order in the mail from the sears roebuck catalog to keep their mind quiet.

Fast forward to the beginning of the 21st century you had parents born in the late 20th century who gave their offspring an iphone or an android phone ignorant to the fact they created socially stunted young adults.

I have been saying it for years and that chronic screen stroking is the cause of a lot of issues with young adults. But the screen in this century is like the fix all drug that was given to the generation born between 1898 and 1904.
