Mindestens eines der Memos, die Comey seinem Professorenfreund gab, damit dieser es für ihn an die New York Times weiterleitete, war als geheim eingestuft.

Denken Sie daran, was ich immer wieder wiederhole.

Ich wiederhole es immer wieder, weil es wahr ist und NIEMAND es jemals in Frage gestellt hat:

FÜR DIE WEITERGABE VON VERSCHLUSSMATERIAL GIBT ES KEINE VERJÄHRUNGSFRIST.

Es steht direkt in den Bundesgesetzen, genau wie bei Mord: Ich weiß nicht, WIE VERDAMMT SCHLAU Ihr Anwalt ist, Sie werden die Anklage nicht fallen lassen, wenn Ihre Anklageschrift aufgrund einer Verjährung freigegeben wird.

WEIL ES KEINEN GIBT.

Es spielt keine Rolle, WANN Sie das vertrauliche Material weitergegeben oder es auch nur jemandem preisgegeben haben, der nicht dazu befugt ist, es einzusehen.

Vor 5 Jahren, vor 10 Jahren, vor 20 Jahren ... ES ... SPIELT ... KEINE ... ROLLE.

Sie leben noch, wenn die Anklageschrift freigegeben wird und es handfeste Beweise dafür gibt, dass Sie es getan haben?

Comey gab zu, was er getan hatte. Er prahlte sogar vor der Presse damit. Seine einzige Chance, einer Verurteilung zu entgehen, wäre das Argument, dass keines der vier Memos, die er der New York Times übergeben hatte, noch geheim sei.

Während er stundenlang von den nutzlosen Kongressmitgliedern befragt wurde, gelingt es Comey kunstvoll und geschickt, Aussagen über folgende Punkte zu vermeiden:

1) wie viele Memos es tatsächlich gibt.

2) wie viele dieser Memos, die er mitnahm, geheime Informationen enthielten.

3) Wie viele der Memos hat er Professor Richman tatsächlich gegeben?

Nein, wirklich. Das ist tatsächlich passiert.

Selbstironische Kongressabgeordnete verbrachten STUNDEN damit, vor den Kameras zu inszenieren, um „der Sache auf den Grund zu gehen!“, und trotzdem musste Comey irgendwie NIE zugeben, dass es SIEBEN Memos waren, VIER davon Richman gab und VIER der sieben Memos, die er an sich nahm, geheime Informationen enthielten.

Remember what I keep repeating.

I keep repeating it because it's true and NOBODY has ever challenged this:

THERE IS NO STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS FOR LEAKING CLASSIFIED MATERIAL.

It's directly stated in the federal statutes, just as with murder, I don't HOW FREAKING CLEVER your lawyer is, you're not gonna dismiss the charges when your indictment gets unsealed on an appeal to a statute of limitations.

BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ONE.

Doesn't matter WHEN you leaked the classified material, or even just EXPOSED it to someone not authorized to see it.

5 years ago, 10 years ago, 20 years ago...IT....DOESN'T....MATTER.

You're still alive when that indictment gets unsealed, and they have the solid evidence to prove you did it?

YOU'RE GOING INSIDE FOR ALL DAY.

COMEY ADMITTED WHAT HE DID. Bragged about it to the press, even. His only shot to avoid a conviction would be to argue none of the 4 memos he had given to the NYT's was still classified.

IN HOURS of being questioned by the useless members of Congress, Comey artfully and skillfully manages to avoid testifying about:

1) how many memos there actually are.

2) how many of these memos that he took with him contained classified information.

3) how many of the memos did he actually give to Professor Richman.

No, really. This actually happened.

Grandstanding members of Congress spent HOURS playing to the cameras to 'get to the bottom of what happened here!' and yet somehow Comey NEVER had to cough up that there were SEVEN memos, he gave FOUR to Richman and FOUR of the seven memos he took contained classified information.
