What does Christmas Mean for Us?

The birth of our Lord, which we celebrate at Christmas, was an advent—the appearing of God in human form. We must grasp this truth: salvation comes from outside of ourselves. It comes from heaven, from God—not from us. The incarnation is God reaching out to us, God with us!
