'Birmingham is a BIOHAZARD' I Investigate the UK City Drowning in Rubbish

In this documentary we visited Birmingham, the UK's second largest city. Birmingham is currently in the midst of a crisis the Birmingham Bin Strikes. Birmingham cities waste collection workers have gone on strike resulting in unprecedented amounts of rubbish being left uncollected on the streets. This has left the streets of Birmingham plagued with putrid rotting trash and infested with supersized rats! To better understand the severity of the problem on the street and how wide spread the issues are I travelled to various parts of Birmingham including some of the poorest and most deprived areas of Birmingham: Small Heath, Balsall Green, Handsworth and as a comparison we visited the one of the most affluent areas of Birmingham to compare the contrasting situations unfolding. In this documentary we interview those worst affected by the Birmingham Bin Strikes including residents of the area and Birmingham's Refuse Collection workers to understand the reality of life inside Birmingham's Bin Strikes.
