Geoffrey Arnold Beck (24 June 1944 – 10 January 2023) was an English guitarist. He gained fame as a member of the rock band The Yardbirds and later founded and led the Jeff Beck Group and Beck, Bogert & Appice. In 1975, he transitioned to an instrumental style, focusing on innovative sounds. His releases encompassed a variety of genres and styles, including blues rock, hard rock, jazz fusion, and a mix of guitar rock and electronica.
• In 2014, he received the British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music.

• One of the essential guitarists of the British Invasion, Jeff Beck possessed a mercurial, lyrical style that sounded equally at home in thunderous blues-rock and soft-focus fusion. Beck played both styles in his long, unpredictable career, pioneering psychedelia, heavy metal, and jazz-rock as he did so. His prodigious talent was evident from the moment he joined the Yardbirds, but he left after spending just over a year in the group, turning his attention to the Jeff Beck Group, a crushingly loud, heavy rock outfit featuring vocalist Rod Stewart. During the early 1970s, he cycled through new bands, eventually settling into a slick jazz groove with the 1975 LP Blow by Blow. From that point on, fusion played a crucial role in Beck's music, providing the glue on such adventurous rock records as 1989's Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop.

📌"Beck's Bolero" is a rock instrumental recorded by English guitarist Jeff Beck in 1966. It is Beck's first solo recording and has been described as "one of the great rock instrumentals, epic in scope, harmonically and rhythmically ambitious yet infused with primal energy". "Beck's Bolero" features a prominent melody with multiple guitar parts propelled by a rhythm inspired by Maurice Ravel's Boléro. The recording session brought together a group of musicians, including Jimmy Page, Keith Moon, John Paul Jones, and Nicky Hopkins, who later agreed that the lineup was a first attempt at what became Led Zeppelin.
