NIMH Ep #836 The Hip Hop Culture is not about Gangs.
NIMH Ep #836 The Hip Hop Culture is not about Gangs.
52 years in what we call Hip Hop is a cutlture based around the original 4 elements.
The Dj, the Emcee/Rapper, The B-Boy/Girl and Graffit/Aerosol Art.
These were the 4 elements that were comprise from it inception of what has become Hip Hop. Circa (1973)
In today society the record labels sign what they call “Rappers” to the label to record songs as recording artists.
And these record labels only sign rappers.
They don’t really sign Dj, B-Boy/B-Girl/Dancers or Graffiti Artists 😳 So I ask why are they abusing the culture term or name Hip Hop if they don’t respect or represents the foundation or elements?
But some will say that being a rapper is part of Hip Hop and that true. And being a criminal or part of a gang is what you are.
Hio Hop hadnt committed any killing or crimes. It those who got in and didnt leave it behind.
Today rappers are more affiliate with the gang and street culture . Basically every dream these young kids had was taken away from their communities . After school programs, Activities etc and the $$$ went to bulld private prisons .
We know the plan was to exciut the positive rap musis that aas knowledgeable to many and lets interject the negative stereotype that the less educated will follow .
This seems acceptable to those who are in control of signing these rappers who don’t consider themselves artists or even respect the culture of true Hip Hop.
There been more rappers murdered the last 7 years then the whole 52 years of Hip Hop existence . Fkgure that out.
If I’m a stick up kid that who I’m am, If I a scam artists that who I’m am or even if I’m a HITMAN that who or what I do, so how is everyone part of Hip Hop.
Like ever young lady who post a photo on IG 😂 Is label a Instagram model like the labeling is insane. Wtf is a IG Model?
But how is everyone who Black or as they say “Im from the hood” or whatever and wear jewelry, the dress code and associates him or herself around this so call music industry or might know someone or a popular artists by association automatically is part of the Hip Hop Culture?
If you are a known criminal how are you part of the culture of Hip Hop?
We know know they are rappers that are signed and associated with record labels co-sign, Fund and endorse this behavior as long they can profit of it .
But the sad part about this is those who put their heart, soul and life into building this culture from the beginning and to watch how it has become a disaster and disgrace to see those who really dont understand what is Hip Hop destroy it just like everything elee.
To use Hip Hop in everything associated with negativity is definitely a defamation of it character. Let those who enjoy the life of criminal activity be label CRIMINALS not Hip Hop.
Hip Hop hasn’t murdered anyone you all do know that.. RIGHT?
It are the ones to associate themselves within the RAP WORLD of the record labels who endorse this because it is definitely not THE CULTURE OF HIP HOP.
