Palm Sunday - God's Appointed Time Had Come

Is there a lesson or two to be learned in the Messiah's triumphant ride into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday? I think there is a very important lesson we all need to master in our walk with Jesus.
It's all about expectations.
The Jews had certain expectations of Jesus. He was to be their political and military leader who would free them from Roman oppression.
Boy did they get that wrong. He came to free them from much bigger and deadlier oppression that the Romans. He came to free us from the oppression of sin and bring us peace.
They got it wrong. Their expectations were wrong. That was not why Jesus came ... so they crucified Him a week later.
Let's stop and take a look at our own expectations of Jesus in our life and our prayer life.
