Sadly, U.S. leaders have never shown the finesse needed to grasp a true global strategy. Henry Kissinger was the rare exception. Today, the U.S. has lost much of the world’s respect. It must come to terms with the reality of a multipolar world—because going forward, more players will rise, and if America doesn’t adapt, it will be the one left behind.
