How can we live comfortably off grid? In this conversation with Kevin, we discuss how we can simply learn the skills we need to build our own homes, generate our own electricity, heat and the water we need to live comfortably and independantly of Utility Companies.

Location Nr Langport Somerset .

During the weekend the idea is to explore basic timber framing with pine wood , using screws or a nail gun to construct the frames .
This is a simple, cost affective construction method .
The weekend will also include guided tour of an off grid smallholding with has different timber buildings and an off grid solar system . All of which we can look at together and enquiry can be made to how this was achieved.
There is also a bore hole with associated equipment that can be seen working .

The aim of the weekend is to give folk the confidence and basic knowledge of how to get started with timber construction along with basic information on generating your own electricity.

The weekend starts on Friday 9 May and finishes around midday on Sunday .
Food and accommodation is provided.

The cost of the weekend is £300 and the weekend is limited to 6 people .
