2025-04-13 - What Kind of King?

On what we now call Palm Sunday, Jesus rode into Jerusalem to the shouts and cheers of a massive crowd. They believed him to be a conquering king, come to destroy the Romans, and establish the Kingdom of David once again. Jesus had a very different plan, though. This humble king came to suffer and die to save His people, not from outside oppressors or the troubles of life, but from the enemy with, our own sin.
