Russian Forces Unveil New 3D-Printed UAV Interceptor with Advanced Guidance System

Footage released by Russian Forces showcases the debut of a new domestically produced UAV interceptor featuring a distinctive X-shaped frame—reportedly manufactured using 3D-printing technology.

Though details remain limited, early visuals confirm that the system is equipped with a remotely controlled combat module integrated with a bispectral optical-electronic targeting system.

The interceptor drones can be deployed from either a dual-device launcher or a lightweight portable unit, offering flexible deployment in field conditions.

Each unit is fitted with advanced thermal imaging and television homing heads (MWIR/CMOS or CCD sensors), enabling all-weather, day-and-night operational capabilities.

The combat module operates through a wired command and telemetry system, allowing remote control without disclosing the operator’s position—significantly enhancing battlefield survivability and tactical versatility.
