Phantom Elite is a Dutch metal band founded in 2016 in the Limburg town of Reuver

Phantom Elite was founded in 2016 by singer Marina La Torraca (also known from Avantasia and Exit Eden ) and Sander Gommans (known from After Forever and HDK ). Both are the only constant members of the group so far. However, Gommans has never been part of the band's line-up ; he acts as executive producer . After the founding, the formation was supplemented with keyboardist Erik van Ittersum (also known from Kingfisher Sky ), drummer Eelco van der Meer (also known from Ex Libris ), lead guitarist Goof Veelen and rhythm guitarist Ted Wouters respectively. Initially, Phantom Elite was a project intended to perform studio works by HDK , a project of Gommans, live . The band name 'Phantom Elite' also comes from the lyrics of the song Eternal Journey by HDK. After a few rehearsals, the group also started composing their own material.

During 2018, the group underwent further changes in their line-up. Initially, drummer Eelco van der Meer and lead guitarist Goof Veelen left the band; they were replaced by Joeri Warmerdam and Max van Esch respectively. Afterwards, bassist Siebe Sol also left the group; his role was taken over by Vincent de Bruin (also known from Chainsaw Disaster). In April, Phantom Elite's debut album Wasteland was released, which was named after the single of the same name. The album partly contains material by HDK , although these have been slightly modified. A European concert tour followed on the occasion of the release of the debut album , with performances mainly in England , France and Germany . The last concert of the Wasteland tour took place in De Bosuil in the Limburg city of Weert .

In 2019, the band once again had to deal with line-up changes. Rhythm guitarist Ted Wouters, who apart from Gommans and La Torraca was the last remaining member of the formation since its formation in 2016, left Phantom Elite. Subsequently, bassist Vincent de Bruin left the group. However, De Bruin was replaced by his predecessor Siebe Sol , who returned to the band. With this four-piece line-up (consisting of La Torraca, Van Esch, Sijpkens and Warmerdam) the band started developing new material. In the fall of 2020, two singles were released : Diamonds And Dark and The Race , both of which are the work of the latter line-up. The singles were released by the Italian record label Frontiers Music . The band announced via Facebook that they were working on a new album, which would be called Titanium .

In January 2021, the group released two more singles: Deliverance and Glass Crown . Both singles were accompanied by a music video . The second studio album Titanium was released on January 22 , along with the music video for Glass Crown . The singles that the band released in 2020 are also included on this album.
