For the first time, scientists have brought to life puppies of the dire wolf — a species that went extinct 12,000 years ago. The biotech startup Colossal has introduced Romulus and Remus, the first of their kind in millennia.

The dire wolf vanished due to climate change and human pressure. Unlike modern gray wolves, it had a more powerful build, a stronger bite, and a significantly larger mass.

Are we getting closer to a real-life Jurassic Park?
