The Pit Bull Terrier is recognized as being more dangerous than a pet tiger, rattle snake, or panther. These animals are subject to psychotic breaks which send them on a killing spree. Pit Bulls are constantly striving to become the ‘Alpha’ in the house.

A firm owner can go a long way toward keeping a Pit Bull in the Beta, but it’s a delicate balancing act. In this case in Ohio, the Pit Bull saw the child as either a threat to his Alpha status or simply as prey.
