Welcome back to SGT Rock’s Headbangers Ball, everyone. The month of May is Military Appreciation Month. All month, our shows celebrate our warfighters and what they do. As Veterans ourselves, this month is exceptionally special to us.

What’s going on Hard Rockers, Headbangers and the Hardcore. SGT Rock here, your host for SGT Rock’s Headbangers Ball! Let’s start off Military Appreciation Month the right way with a a show dedicated to the mighty 89.5 WSOU Seton Hall Pirate Radio featuring songs and bands that this great college radio station showcased.

We discovered WSOU on our 2nd Deployment to MND-S during Operation Joint Endeavor in the mid-90s. A college radio station playing better music than mainstream radio stations at the time.
That’s why we love WSOU, they showcased bands that didn’t get that airtime that blew the bands on mainstream media out of the water. If it wasn’t for WSOU those bands they showcased wouldn’t be on the big tours like they are today. Ask any metal band, “Have you been played on WSOU?” More than likely, the answer will be, “Yes”.

We don’t and haven’t forgotten those who helped us deal with that shit assed deployment! Through all the shit we’d done, seen, we always had WSOU Pirate Radio.

Who are we playing? You’ll have to tune in to find out. We didn’t leave you hangin, Headbangers! There’s a little something for everyone from Boomers, GenX, GenZ, and GenA! I hope you dig this show as it was made with you in mind. The Metal and Rock Music fan.
