Episode 13: ALL IN 2018 (The AEW Pilot)

Whether or not we knew it at the time, ALL IN 2018 was basically the demo tape for what would become All Elite Wrestling. It was billed as "The Biggest Independent Wrestling Show Ever," and featured talent from NWA, ROH, MLW, NJPW, CMLL, and more. Co-host Greg has never watched this show before and brings a "new eyes" perspective to a show that co-host Troy is watching back for the first time since seeing it live, 2 years ago. When "Uncle" Dave Meltzer said that Cody and the Young Bucks couldn't sell out a 10,000 seat arena, the Elite members took that as a bet and put their money where their mouths were. Cody faced Nick Aldis for the NWA Title in a classic match, the Young Bucks teamed with Kota Ibushi to take on Fenix, Bandido, and the legendary Rey Mysterio in a lucha trios spectacular, Kenny Omega clashed with Penta El Zero M for the first time in history, Marty Scurll and Kazuchika Okada tore the house down, and Hangman Page fought Joey Janela in a Chicago Street Fight that had the weirdest ending in wrestling history.
