The Minimum Wage Solution

I have a solution to the minimum wage debate. Republicans argue that increasing minimum wage violates the rules of capitalism and hurts businesses. Democrats say an increase is needed to lift people out of poverty with a living wage. Instead of increasing the minimum wage, How about we follow the example of no taxes on tips or overtime and say No tax on minimum wage. This way workers earning minimum wage get a raise by not having to pay taxes, businesses don’t have to pay more for inexperienced workers OR to match the federal tax requirements ….. businesses win by not having to pay more WHILE low income earners get paid more. Businesses will want to invest in training people new to the workforce and hire more people. both parties get a victory, and we get another way to get the government out of our Pocket.
