Siemens Tech CEO Dies in NYC Crash

In a heartbreaking tragedy, Agustín Escobar — CEO of Siemens Spain — was killed along with his wife and three children in a helicopter crash over the Hudson River. The family had just arrived in New York from Barcelona and were taking a scenic flight when the chopper went down.

Witnesses described horrifying scenes as the aircraft broke apart in mid-air, crashing near Lower Manhattan. All six onboard were confirmed dead, including the pilot. The helicopter, a Bell 206L-4 operated by New York Helicopter, had flown only 16 minutes before the fatal descent.

Authorities are investigating the incident, marking it one of the deadliest NYC helicopter crashes in years.
