We’re only halfway through April and the courts are already packed!

On April 3, Tamara Lich and Chris Barber were found guilty of mischief for their roles in the convoy. Barber was also convicted of counselling protesters to defy a court order. Both were acquitted of intimidation and obstruction. Sentencing begins April 16.

Randy Hillier won his appeal! The Ontario Court of Appeal ruled that COVID protest charges against him violated the Charter right to peaceful assembly, citing the court's failure to apply the Oakes test.

Norm Blanchfield, convicted of mischief for “shouting” on Rideau Street, avoided a harsh 15-month jail sentence. He’s appealing.

Kimberly and Michelle beat the statue of limitation claim agains Save-on-foods so the case moves forward!

Unfortunately, Jaime lost her fight to stop Kingsville from installing a Neptune AMI Smart water meter on her home. The outcome was expected after what unfolded in court that day.

Next Monday, Rebecca has her first appearance in the Federal Court for her claim questioning the legality of Carney’s appointment by Trudeau. Unfortunately, it’s a closed case management conference.

And on April 22, Mitchell is back in court to fight the Law Society’s claim that he’s practicing law without a license. He’ll be joining us to discuss it.

See you all tonight!
