KKR beat CSK by 8 wickets in the 25th match of IPL-25

The 25th Match of Men’s Tata IPL-2025 was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Chennai on 11th March, 2025. In this match Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets. In this match Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Chennai Super Kings while batting first scored only 103 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs and gave target of 104 runs to Chennai Super Kings to win. In reply Chennai Super Kings scored 107 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 10.1 overs and lost the match by 6 runs.
Chennai Super Kings started badly and lost two early wickets at the score of 16 runs. CSK started very poorly and lost the wicket of David Conway in the fourth over of the match LBW to Moeen Ali and made 12 runs.
Rchin Ravindra was second to go out caught by Ajinkya Rahane of the bowing of Harshit Rana after scoring 4 runs from 9 balls. Then Vijay Shankar was removed by Varun Chakaravarty caught brilliantly by Moeen ali after scoring 29 runs from 21 balls hitting 2 fours and 1 six.
Rahul Tripathi was bold by Sunil Narine and contributed only 16 runs from 22 balls hitting 1 four. The batting of CSK flopped miserably and most of the remaining batsmen failed to even reach to dounble figures.
Racvi Chandran Ashwin made 1 run. Ravindra Jadeja and Deepak Hooda both went back without scoring. MS Dhoni contributed one run and Noor Ahmed also made one run.
Shivam Dubey remained not out on 31 runs from 29 balls hitting 3 fours and Anshul Kamboj also remained not out on 3 runs. CSK were restricted to 103 runs only for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.
In reply KKR made 107 runs for 2 wickets in 10.1 overs and won the match by 8 wickets. KKR openers batted with authority and added 46 runs in 4.1 overs only and laid solid foundation for win.
Kolkata Knight Riders lost the first wicket of Quinton de Kock bold by Anshul Kamboj after making 23 runs from 16 balls hitting 3 sixes. Then captain Ajinkya Rahane with Sunil Narine batted superbly and added 39 runs for the second wicket. Noor Ahmed removed Sunil Narine after scoring 44 runs from 18 balls hitting 2 fours and 5 sixes.
Ajinkya Rahane with Rinku Singh added unbeaten 22 runs for the 3rd wicket and won the match for KKR.
Ajinkya Rahane remained not out on 20 runs from 17 balls hitting 1 four and 1 six. Rinku Singh also remained not out on 15 runs from 12 balls hitting 1 four and 1 six. Kolkata Knight Riders scored 107 runs for 2 wickets in 10.1 overs and defeated CSK by 8 wickets.Sunil Narine was adjudged the Player of the Match.
