Shema Israel

The Shema is the most profound and foundational verse in Judaism. Devarim (Deuteronomy) 6:4 states:
שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְהוָה אֶחָד
"Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheynu, Adonai Echad."
