Gameplay Part 20
Part 5 of Phantom Liberty

Returning to Night City as cyber-enhanced mercenary V, you'll embark on a high-stakes mission of espionage as you attempt to save Myers -- former CEO of Militech and current NUS President -- who has crash-landed in the dangerous district of Dogtown while traveling on the Space Force One. Ruled by a trigger-happy militia, Dogtown will test your limits as you'll be forced to forge alliances within a web of shattered loyalties and sinister political machinations.

In this playthrough we cover:

Gig: Space Oddity: In Rancho Coronado, V encounters a group of homeless individuals in possession of a mysterious briefcase. Depending on V's attributes, the briefcase can be acquired through intimidation lvl 7. If V has Level 8 Intelligence, they can hack the briefcase to access encrypted data, revealing a drop-off point. Upon arrival, V confronts and eliminates seven enemies. After the skirmish, Johnny Silverhand appears to discuss the contents, concluding the mission.

Side Job: No Easy Way Out: Coach Fred asks V to help a boxer in Dogtown named Aaron, who’s been implanted with a control chip by the Animals gang to throw fights. After fighting through Scavs to reach ripperdoc Damir for removal, Angie—leader of the Animals—offers V a deal: walk away and let Aaron remain under their control in exchange for a cut of the profits. V accepts, leaving Aaron behind, and waits for a call to later meet Angie at the boxing ring in Dogtown to collect a 22,000 eddie payout.

Gig: Talent Academy: Mr. Hands tasks V with infiltrating a sports academy to extract client data. Posing as a potential recruit, V navigates the facility, but their cover is blown during an identity verification process. This triggers a confrontation with security forces. V must combat guards and turrets to reach Fiona Vargas's office and retrieve the data. The mission concludes with V escaping the facility, having secured the sensitive information.

The Killing Moon: After a few in-game days following the events of "Firestarter," V receives a call from Songbird, who provides coordinates for a clandestine meeting near the N54 News HQ. There, V finds Songbird in a deteriorating state, desperate to reach the Black Clinic on Luna, which she believes can cure her. Despite her condition, she has secured a flight to the moon and seeks V's assistance to reach the spaceport.
V drives Songbird to the NCX Spaceport, where they must navigate through security. To avoid complications, V hands over their weapons to Songbird before entering. Inside, they proceed through the security gate, where Songbird uses her netrunning skills to create a fake profile for V, allowing them to pass through without raising suspicion. It's crucial to avoid threatening the security personnel, as doing so can lead to increased scrutiny and potential delays.
As they make their way through the terminal, V and Songbird encounter various challenges, including security checks and potential confrontations. Maintaining a low profile is essential to ensure a smooth passage to the boarding area.
Upon reaching the terminal, V faces a pivotal decision learning that Songbird lied about the cure and how it will only work once. V decides to contact Reed and hand her over to the NUSA after arriving at the terminal. Despite Songbird's deteriorating health, V allows Reed to take her into custody with the hope that Reed will come through with a cure from specialized ripperdocs.
