THERE IS GOOD AND JOY IN GRIEF
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 New King James Version
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen [a]asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who [b]sleep in Jesus.
SO DON'T BE AFRAID TO GRIEVE! GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA GANG!!!
I know I've spoken a lot over the last couple of years about grief, and how we can find hope in it, but I've never been able to realize until recently that there's a joy and there's good in it. I especially was seeing that today as I was reading this morning scripture, but also seeing other scriptures about grief, and something that thatquestions.org says about it, and I had to share. “Grief is a deep and powerful emotion caused by the loss of someone or something we held dear. Grief is part of loving and engaging with life. Loss is bound to come in this fallen world, and grief with it. Grief is not an emotion to be avoided, but one to acknowledge and walk through.” This is something I firmly believe, and I think we as Christians need to not be afraid to embrace it.
Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God has shown me from His Word on this issue, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you encourages you to see that it is OK to grieve. Come join me in this vlog tonight my friends, and learn how there is true good and joy in grief! 😊
So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with these questions from this morning’s devotional, and I pray that God will use them to help you in your grief right now.
What tangible sign or ritual honors the memory of your loved one?
How does Jesus help to carry your burden?
So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to reach out to every brother and sister in Christ, who has lost a loved one, or a dear friend who knew Christ, with powerful words from the late Chuck Smith, who stated so very well, “Our sorrow is for ourselves because we're still here, and we're going to miss them. We sorrow for what's been taken from us.” This means my friends, that when we mourn, our mourning is different from that of the lost world, because we have hope. We have hope that we will see our loved ones who have gone on before us, because they knew Christ is their savior, and one day, we will be reunited with them. That precious hope can be a reality for anyone, and I pray that if you know Christ as your savior, that you will cherish that hope. Most of all I pray that you show gratitude to God for giving you these people in your life, and don't be afraid to grieve.
UNTIL SATURDAY:
HAVE A BLISSFUL AND BLESSED EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
