Fantastic Four Leans into IDENTITY POLITICS | Marvel Has NOT Learned from WOKE Flops

Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic Four actress, Vanessa Kirby, said in a recent interview this summer’s Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU, entry will explore gender politics with her character Sue Storm.

Marvel Studios and its parent company Disney has learned a hard lesson this last year that leaning into identity politics have been hurting their bottom line when it comes to the box office. Last falls MCU film The Marvels, was all about the girl-boss and ended its theatrical run as the lowest grossing movie in the entire franchise. There have been rumors of the Fantastic Four going down this route for some time, especially when it was announced they will be featuring a female Silver Surfer, but this seems like confirmation from one of the film’s stars.
