1st Video Of B (For His Neuro a few years ago); Catatonia when asleep

I made this video for B's neurologist, so she might be able to help him. Before 2022, he had never exhibited Catatonia symptoms in his sleep before.. Never. But he had been having seizures, only in his sleep from about 2019/2020 to 2022. He did not have seizures when he was awake. He only had grandmal seizures. Until mostly 2022, but there are some indicators -2021 was the start of a few non-convulsive seizures. Now this is the best of my observations and thoughts on it. This is all unknown territory and I could -not have it all absolutely correct here or there & in hindsight, via video documentations -it can be analyzed. Non-convulsive seizures can give no to little outward signs and be difficult to detect without an EEG machine. Brian never exhibited catatonia in his sleep until 2022. When i made this video it was a question -for the neurologist, I wondered if this positioning in his sleep was really non-convulsive seizures, because he had only had seizures in his sleep before. 2022 is when the seizures and the Catatonia began to actually mix together. The epilepsy had been odd from its start, at age 18 in 2019. But not mixed into the Catatonia kind of odd. The first year it looked like normal epilepsy, but why did he develop epilepsy? After that it was in odd patterns. It would keep the same pattern for a year or so, then the seizure pattern would change. The epilepsy progressed, it got worse and worse -more deceptive, more dangerous. I do not think Brian is having a continual non-convulsize status epilepticcus in this video, quite sure he is not because I later became quite familiar with that & what it looked like. But he may have had one or two or a few short non-convulsive seizures during this episode. That is what i think is happening here. But, he is asleep. he never had catatonia in his sleep like this before. I think if he were having non-convulsive status and it was continual, he would have died right there. In regards to non-convulsive seizures under-girding this whole thing. But no one can really say whether intermittent non-convulsize seizures were causing this or if it was just catatonia -without an eeg machine on him. I believe even the seizures Brian was having were catatonia, that this is seizure driven catatonia. Brian first developed catatonia at age 12 from risperidone -medicine driven catatonia. put it into remission, it came back via the driver depression. Briefly put that into remission, it came back with newly formed epilepsy -seizure driven catatonia. So, I THINK or believe -is the way to describe this properly. What do you think? I believe this condition got worse and worse because he was misdiagnosed and denied treatment, which I won't get into right now other than to emphasize there was this progression from bad to worse. My beloved son Brian passed away this year 2025. Things progressed to that level. I am not posting this regarding him to shame him, myself, our family -or anyone but because I believe hindsight may well be helpful to someone else, somewhere. Sometime. there are plenty of people trying to research catatonia on the internet, I have been that mom. And if it doesn't, then why should the truth be a shame or hurt?
