When measles struck, her parents and medical reports—reviewed by RFK Jr. today—indicate she recovered from the virus itself. But a bacterial infection, strep in her bloodstream, likely triggered by lung damage from measles, took her life.
This aligns with how measles often kills: it weakens the body, paving the way for secondary infections like pneumonia. The other recent child death in Texas followed a similar pattern.
