Student suspended by low Life school admin for daring to want a flag in class

Meet Parker Jensen, an 18-year-old senior at
@Towson_HS
in Baltimore County, Maryland, who plans to join the Marines.

Parker was suspended for 7 days and banned from prom after simply asking why some classrooms didn’t have American flags in his school.

After being ignored by school officials, Parker took his concerns to Baltimore County Public Schools headquarters—only to be met by five police cars instead of answers.

Parker has filed a lawsuit against BCPS stating his constitutional rights were violated when the district suspended him while he was inquiring about missing American flags.

Maryland law requires that an American flag be displayed in each classroom.
I hope this boy wins a lot of money from the BPCS. When has it become a crime to ask a question about America's flag? I am sure the authorities of this school will be okay if the boy has wanted a rainbow flag.

Truth Hurts: This situation is exactly why our rights are being eroded under the guise of “political correctness.” Parker Jensen, an 18 year old high school senior, simply asked why some classrooms lacked American flags, in direct violation of state law. For that, he gets suspended, banned from prom, and meets police at the school district’s headquarters? It’s outrageous.

The fact that a student’s basic question about the American flag, symbolizing freedom and democracy, led to such a heavy handed response is the definition of un American. Schools are supposed to foster critical thinking, not shut it down because it makes some people uncomfortable. If they can’t handle a question like this, what’s next?

Parker is right to sue. His constitutional rights were clearly violated, and it’s time someone stood up for free speech in schools again.

Here’s the big question: Why are we punishing students for standing up for the very values this country was built on? How far are we willing to let this go before we start defending what truly matters?
