“Mostly correct, a nation is the people (blood) but it is also the land (soil). A new geography would over time alter the behavior and habits of the people (not necessarily for the better). Especially if there are drastic changes to climate and completely different food sources and vastly different terrain. The new land would (over multiple generations) cause the uniqueness of that people to be lost. This is why when Europeans (for the most part) settled America they went to areas with similar climate to what they were used to. There were “natural” migrations in the past. Usually slowly, by foot and you had to conquer other tribes to claim legitimacy to that new land. What we have today is a completely different artificial mass movements of populations - by help of technology - where you deracinate people over 1 generation.“
