In the Garage with EHR: The '62 Bel Air gets Offset Upper Control Arm Shafts

Like us, cars sag over the years due to the effects off a cast iron engine and gravity the frames tend to fold inward ever so slightly. Our '62 Chevy is a prime example. The wagon's alignment was out pretty far, the camber was way off and became obvious once we put the dropped spindles and bigger wheels on. The problem is that there was no adjustment left in the upper control arm shafts, one side didn't even have a shim, the other side was only a couple skinny ones. Far from the amount needed to draw it in 3/8"-1/2". What to do? Off set upper control arm shafts. I found a set online that had 2 degrees of offset built in. Check out the difference, I think it was just enough.
