"Weezer Bassist's Wife Shot by LA Police, Arrested for Attempted Murder

In a shocking incident, Jillian Lauren, wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was shot by Los Angeles police and subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The confrontation occurred in the Eagle Rock neighborhood during a police search for suspects involved in a freeway hit-and-run. Lauren, 51, allegedly emerged from her home armed with a handgun and, despite repeated commands to lower the weapon, pointed it at officers, leading to her being shot in the shoulder. She was later hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and booked on a $1 million bail. Notably, Lauren had no connection to the initial hit-and-run incident. ​
