Witness aviation history come alive! This is the maiden flight of the original Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 "Black 8" (Werknummer 440738), now fully restored and airworthy again—powered by its original Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine (Serial No. 80077).

Expert pilot Mikael Carlson, known for flying WWI aircraft like the Fokker Dr.I and D.VII, and a seasoned Boeing 737 captain, takes the controls of a Bf 109 for the first time ever in this stunning flight.

🛠️ Originally built in 1944 at the Wiener Neustädter Flugzeugwerke and delivered to Fighter Group 27/I, this aircraft crashed near Matzleinsdorf, Austria on May 29, 1944. Recovered and painstakingly rebuilt using authentic parts and documentation, including the original type plate, this restoration is officially recognized as a rebuild, not a reproduction.

🔧 Rebuild began in Austria in 2007 by Michael Rinner and was completed by the Airfighter Academy in 2013. Now, after years of effort, "Black 8" flies again—and the sound of the DB 605 engine is absolutely unforgettable!

🛩️ Aircraft Specs (Bf 109 G-6):

Engine: Daimler-Benz DB 605 A, 1,475 hp

Speed: up to 650 km/h

Service Ceiling: 12,000 m
