Acts 27 Review Acts & Paul’s Epistles Continued…

SBC Family,

Tonight, we should get through reviewing 1 & 2 Corinthians in preparation for Romans. These three letters were written during Paul’s 3rd missionary journey.

1st journey - 1 letter (Galatians - Gospel)
2nd journey - 2 letters (1 Thessalonians - Rapture; 2 Thessalonians - Day of the Lord)
3rd journey - 3 letters (1 Corinthians - Worldliness; 2 Corinthians - Ministry; Romans - Righteousness)

We are gradually getting there. The goal is to understand these letters in the context and sequence in which they were written in Paul’s life. Acts is our base, and we will start in Acts tonight and move into 1 and 2 Corinthians as we progress toward Romans, “the cathedral of the Christian faith,” which Melanchthon copied “twice with his own hand,” and which “set” Luther “free like a bird from a cage.” The prologue of Luther’s commentary on Romans was instrumental in bringing John Wesley to faith. Many lives have been dramatically changed by the teaching of Romans. May our hearts be open to His word changing our lives forever.

See the attached documents. Same as previous weeks, but passing on for those who may not have downloaded them.

Grace to you,
Jeremy
