BREAKING: Trump speaks at White House after higher tariffs paused for most countries

US President Donald Trump has spoken to press outside the White House. He said he pulled back on global tariffs because people were getting 'yippy'

Mr Trump said he was "honoured" to have introduced the tariffs but that it was necessary to be "flexible".

The US leader went on to hint that a deal could also be made with China but that the Chinese "just don't know quite how to go about it". He has raised tariffs on China to 125%.
