Elon Musk Calls Trump Advisor Pete Navarro A 'Moron': Are Trump Tariffs To Blame?

Elon Musk, it seems, is very angry with Donald Trump’s top trade advisor Peter Navarro. In successive social media posts, Musk called Navarro a ‘moron’ and said that he was ‘dumber than a sack of bricks’
Musk, it seems, was triggered by Navarro’s CNBC interview where he claimed that Tesla was not actually a car manufacturer but rather a ‘car assembler’.
Navarro claimed that different parts of Tesla vehicles are sourced from around the world rather than being built in America using American components.
He indicated that this made Tesla currently incompatible with Trump's trade policies.
Referring to Navarro as ‘Pete Retarrdo’, Musk said his statements were ‘demonstrably false’.
He said that Teslas are the ‘most American cars’ and that Navarro is ‘dumber than a sack of bricks’.
The White House later played down the Musk-Navarro feud as ‘boys being boys’. But there are indications that Musk’s anger is not just directed at Navarro’s interview.
