Liberal Leader Mark Carney holds a campaign event in Victoria, B.C., where he promises measures to help retirees deal with the economic uncertainty associated with U.S. President Donald Trump’s global trade war. Carney also proposes a plan to protect Canada’s nature, biodiversity and water that would, among other things, create 10 new national parks and marine protected areas.
