A Mumbai magistrate court on Monday re-issued a bailable warrant against actress Malaika Arora due to her repeated absence as a witness in the ongoing 2012 assault case involving Saif Ali Khan and others. Despite being summoned, Malaika failed to appear in court again, prompting Magistrate KS Zanwar to issue a ₹5,000 bailable warrant. The court had earlier taken similar action on March 15 when she missed her scheduled appearance. At that time, warrants were also issued against her sister Amrita Arora and their friend Farukh Wadia. On Monday, all accused, including Saif, sought and were granted exemption from appearing. The trial continues to see delays due to witness no-shows.
