The betrayal of Yeshua

Yeshua teaches the crowds in the temple while religious leaders try to trap Him. During the Last Supper, Yeshua reveals one disciple will betray Him. In Gethsemane, Yeshua prays alone while His disciples fall asleep. Judas betrays Yeshua with a kiss and the guards arrest Him. The disciples scatter as Yeshua is taken to the high priest. False witnesses accuse Yeshua before the Sanhedrin council. Peter denies knowing Yeshua three times, then weeps with regret.

Judas Iscariot, one of Yeshua’s twelve disciples, betrayed Him for thirty pieces of silver. Even though he had followed Yeshua and seen His miracles, Judas chose to hand Him over to the religious leaders who wanted to arrest Him. During the last supper, Yeshua told His disciples that one of them would betray Him. Later that night, Judas led a group of soldiers to the Garden of Gethsemane and identified Yeshua with a kiss. This act of betrayal led to Yeshua’s arrest and, eventually, His crucifixion.
