Set during World War II, the movie follows four siblings — Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie — who are sent away from London to the countryside for safety. While exploring a large house, Lucy discovers a magical wardrobe that leads to the mystical world of Narnia.

Narnia is under the rule of the White Witch (Jadis), who has plunged the land into eternal winter. The children join forces with the noble lion Aslan, the true king of Narnia, to fulfill an ancient prophecy and bring peace to the land.
