A fun fact about Hyaenas are that they are not true dogs and actually fall under a suborder called 'Feliformia' where you will find the families, Felidae and Hyaenidae.

Hyaenas closest family in todays world are actual Civets.

We came across these Hyaenas in the early morning while driving in Kruger National Park.
